Makati is a mix of old and new

Like this old but new Jeepney. Jeepneys grew from the US leaving Jeeps here after WWII but are now produced locally. There is a smaller personal size version that really shows its 1940's roots. I will show you one later. 

 This is a building across from where I live. The inside is quite grand looking. I ate some good food whose name I cannot pronounce here. Philippine food is great. I am surprised there is not more of it around my home country USA.

Though much of Makati is sparkling new there are some older sections you will be seeing later.
